Songwriter Christopher Cross to be guest on German TV show “Wetten, dass…?”
On the 30th of April the famous German TV talk show “Wetten, dass…?” will be hosting the Oscar-, Golden Globe-, and five-time Grammy-Winner, Christopher Cross, once again in the limelight. With a medley of his biggest hits as well as his new hit single “Leave It To Me”, he will be presenting his new album “Doctor Faith”, to Thomas Gottschalk in Offenburg just one day after the release. This being his first CD of solo material in 12 years, it will be released from earMUSIC, the Hamburg-based international label, part of the Edel Germany Group.
In 1980, Christopher Cross was without a doubt the most successful star in the pop world with his self-titled debut album including extremely celebrated songs and #1 Hit “Sailing” or “Ride Like The Wind”.
Receiving a Grammy in 1981, Cross really brought the house down with his win of 5 Grammies for “Best New Artist”, “Song Of The Year”, “and the most prestigious Grammy for “Album Of The Year”. Also in the same year, Cross achieved his first #1 Hit with “Arthurs Theme”, written with Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen. The theme song of the famous comedy “Arthur” with Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli, also won the Oscar for “Best Original Song”.
After eight studio albums, Christopher Cross once again proves his great potential as one of the most extraordinary songwriters and talented musicians of our time with “Doctor Faith”. Am 30. April kehrt in der ZDF-Sendung “Wetten, dass…?“ der Oscar-, Golden Globe- und fünfmalige Grammy-Gewinner Christopher Cross ins Rampenlicht zurück. Mit einem Medley seiner größten Hits und der aktuellen Single „Leave It To Me“ stellt Christopher Cross einen Tag nach Veröffentlichung bei Thomas Gottschalk in Offenburg sein aktuelles Album “Doctor Faith“ vor – sein erstes Album mit komplett neuen Songs seit über einem Jahrzehnt, das von dem Label earMUSIC der Hamburger Edel Germany GmbH veröffentlich wird.
Im Jahr 1980 war Christopher Cross der mit Abstand erfolgreichste neue Star am Pophimmel, der mit seinem selbst betitelten Debüt-Album und anspruchsvollen Songs wie dem Nummer-1-Hit “Sailing“ oder “Ride Like The Wind“ die Charts stürmte.
